fl1p is a social platform for online business operators.
It combines a social network, a marketplace, and operator tools in one place.
This post covers everything the platform offers.

• Platform overview

fl1p serves people who buy, sell, build, and invest in online businesses: SaaS, newsletters, marketplaces, content sites, e-commerce, browser extensions, mobile apps, and other internet assets. The platform is designed for sellers, buyers, investors, brokers, and specialists - developers, accountants, growth marketers, and legal professionals working in the online business space.

Social network features

•  Wall posts. Every user has a personal wall for updates, thoughts, and announcements.
•  Community posts. Content posted inside themed communities (circles) with moderation, rules, and topic tags.
•  Post tags. 
•  Comments. 
•  Upvotes and downvotes.
• Bookmarks. Save posts and communities for later.
•  Follow system. Follow other operators to build your feed. Mutual follows unlock direct messaging.
• User profiles. Bio, role, specialty, status, verified badge, post karma, comment karma, follower count, member-since date.

• Communities (circles)

Create or join themed communities. Each has its own slug (c/saas-for-sale, c/newsletter-flips, c/fl1p-club).

Community moderation

Owners and moderators manage content, pin posts, review reports, and configure ad slots.

Community rules

Each circle sets its own rules displayed in the sidebar.

Community verification. 

Verified badge for official brand communities.
Community analytics. 

Member count, active today, post count, open reports — visible to moderators.

Community bookmarks. 

Pinned links in the sidebar (useful resources, external docs).

Sponsored ad zones. 

Moderators can activate paid ad slots within their community. Members can submit ad drafts for moderator review.

• Marketplace

List your business for sale. Title, description, monthly revenue, asking price, asset type, product URL.

— TrustMRR verification. Verified revenue scores — connected data, not screenshots.

— Listing modes. For sale, investor/raising, collaboration, showcase.

— Watches and interest signals. Track how many operators are watching your listing or expressing interest.

— Upvotes on listings. Community-driven ranking for marketplace visibility.

— Valuation tools. Built-in valuation engine for quick business estimates.

• Direct messaging

— One-to-one encrypted conversations between operators.

— Follow-gated access. You can only DM someone if you follow each other (mutual follow). No cold DM spam.

— Real-time delivery with read indicators.

— DM notifications with optional sound alerts (configurable in settings).

• Advertising

— Site-wide ad placements. Sponsored cards in the home feed right rail and mobile sponsored-picks row.

— Community ad slots. Up to 5 rotating advertiser cards per community, managed by moderators.

— Ad submission flow. Advertisers compose their card in a live sandbox preview (/ads), submit for review, and moderators or admins approve, reject, or request revisions.

— Transparent pricing. Flat subscription.

— Ad content policy. Strict prohibited-categories list enforced at review. Full refund if not approved.

• Moderation and safety

— Human-reviewed signups. Every new account sits in “under review” until an admin approves it. Pending users can browse and edit their profile but cannot post, comment, message, or interact.

— Community-scoped reports. When a user reports content inside a community, the report goes to that community’s moderators — not to global admins. Admins see all reports as a backstop.

— Content cascade on ban. When an account is banned, all their posts and communities are automatically soft-removed. 

— Report queue. Moderators see open reports in their Mod tools panel with action/dismiss controls.

User settings

— Notification preferences. Toggle on/off: replies, mentions, DMs, new followers, marketplace activity, notification sound.

— Privacy controls. DM access (followers only / nobody), allow @-mentions, allow listing tags.

— Appearance. Three themes: fl1p (default dark), dark (midnight), light. Reduce-motion toggle.

— Profile visibility. Option to hide posts tab or comments tab from other viewers.

— Username change. One free username change available; additional changes go through admin review.

— Connected accounts. OAuth providers (Google, GitHub, Apple) linked to your account.

• Notifications

— In-app notification bell. Real-time updates for replies, mentions, follows, mutual follows, mod actions, marketplace activity, ad approvals/rejections, and system events.

— Approval notification. “Welcome to fl1p — your application was approved” delivered in-app and via email when your profile is approved.

— Email notifications. Approval emails sent via Resend ([email protected]). Digest and security alerts planned.

• Other features

— Full-text search. Search across posts, communities, and users.

— SEO-optimized pages. Every post, community, listing, and profile has a canonical URL with structured data (JSON-LD), Open Graph tags, and sitemap coverage.

— IndexNow integration. New posts are pinged to search engines within minutes of publishing.

— Pull-to-refresh. 

— Invite page. Share fl1p.club/invite to invite operators to the platform.

— Legal pages. Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, Ads Terms, Community Rules — all accessible from the left navigation footer.

• How to get started

1. Complete your profile — add your bio, role, specialty, and links.

2. Join communities relevant to your space.

3. Post an introduction — tell operators what you’re building or looking for.

4. Browse the marketplace for opportunities.

5. Follow operators whose work interests you.
